Programming Impact – Fall Updates

Volunteer programming is at the heart of all we do. A variety of community needs have been served through these ongoing initiatives:

Ten Uplift Scholars completed the LEAD program. One of the LEAD scholars was selected to be a finalist in the business presentation competition. Two of the ten scholars received a $10,000 scholarship to attend an east coast University.

Inspiration Abounds with the Digital Lab Robotics Workshop

Ericsson’s African-American Alliance Employee Resource Group and The Melville Family Foundation (MFF) organized the seven-day summer camp at Uplift Peak (Dallas) and Uplift Mighty (Fort Worth) for students, aged between 11-14 years old. The Association of Black Princeton Alumni (ABPA) has selected Randolph (Randy) and Rev. Dr. Lael C. Melville as co-recipients of the ABPA Distinguished Alumni Award. This award recognizes alumni, who are successful in their careers and have brought honor to the name of Princeton University by exemplifying the highest ideals and traditions captured in the phrase “Princeton in the Nation’s Service and in the Service of Humanity”.
